Using Knots
These terms apply to the Knots website, browser player, and native apps, provided by the team behind Lumik. By using Knots, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service. For apps downloaded from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies to the app license. These terms do not replace that agreement or rights you have under applicable law.
Podcasts and third-party services
Knots is a player for RSS and Atom feeds and third-party audio. Podcast episodes, artwork, articles, and related materials belong to their creators and rights holders. Access through Knots does not give you ownership or permission to redistribute them. Only access content you are authorized to use, and follow the publisher’s terms. Publishers may change or remove feeds and episodes. We do not control their content, availability, or data practices.
Responsible use
Use Knots lawfully. Do not infringe others’ rights, attempt unauthorized access, bypass purchase or device limits, share or resell license keys, or disrupt the website, APIs, or other services. Keep private feed URLs and license credentials secure. We may limit access to protect the service from abuse.
Knots Pro and payments
Knots includes free features and optional Pro features. Prices, taxes, plan duration, and included features are shown before purchase. Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically unless canceled through the billing provider. A lifetime plan is a one-time purchase for the applicable Knots Pro product; it is not a recurring subscription.
iOS purchases are processed and managed by Apple. Use your Apple account to restore eligible purchases or manage and cancel subscriptions. Apple’s billing and refund rules apply to those purchases.
Android purchases are processed through Stripe and use a Knots license key. The current Android license allows one active device at a time. Use Knots → Profile → Knots Pro to activate or recover a key, release an activation, or open billing management. Deactivating a device, uninstalling the app, or deleting local data does not cancel a subscription. iOS purchases and Android licenses are separate products and do not transfer between platforms.
Cancellation and refunds
Cancel a recurring plan before its next renewal to prevent another charge. For Android licenses, cancellation at the end of a billing period retains access through the paid period. Refunds, reversed payments, and disputes may change or remove paid access. For an Apple purchase, request a refund through Apple. For an Android purchase or billing question, email knots@lumik.space. Your statutory consumer rights remain in effect.
Your library and privacy
You are responsible for keeping copies of library data you want to retain. Browser storage is tied to the website’s domain and browser profile; clearing it or changing domains can leave your previous local library unavailable. Optional browser library sync depends on your Knots account and our service. Optional iCloud sync depends on your Apple account and Apple’s service. Our Privacy Policy explains local storage, network requests, purchases, and support data.
Availability and responsibility
We work to keep Knots useful and reliable, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free playback, or the continued availability of third-party content. To the extent permitted by law, Knots is provided as available without additional warranties. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits warranties, remedies, or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
